In loving memory of Colin James Sage who sadly passed away on 5th November 2023

Dearest Colin we have loving memories of you,

Colin James Sage was born on February 9th, 1993, in Chatham to Steven and Karen Sage. He had an older brother Michael, born in 1989, and an older sister, Lisa born in 1992. At school Colin was popular and was keen on karate. He supported Arsenal. His brother Michael was keen on the military, and Lisa began her lifelong love of horses. In the last few weeks of his life, Colin helped Lisa with Eddy, her pony, and Michael and Colin enjoyed watching military films. In August of this year, Colin moved back to be with his Mum Karen in Hythe, to try, as he often said, to sort himself out, but despair and doubts were in his mind and he tragically took his own life, at the young age of 30, on November 5th.

Colin loved walking and stargazing. While staying at his Mum’s, he regularly walked on Dymchurch and Hythe beaches, enjoying the sea and stars at night. Karen enjoyed Colin being with her as he did lots of jobs around the house, cooked, watched films with her and Lisa, and played puzzles. Lisa and Colin competed on the PlayStation. Colin and Karen walked the dogs daily. He was settling in Hythe and meeting people. Colin loved cats and a few days before he died, he rescued a bedraggled moggy.

Colin, we see you every day and we are smiling back at you. Take care.

After Colin's committal on Dec. 6th at Hawkinge, we will celebrate him again, when we lay his ashes on the Dymchurch beach and tide, and where we will toast his memory.

love Karen, Lisa and Michael

*Colin loved the COLOUR PURPLE, and we hope people who attend his funeral wear a little - or a lot!

Karen and Lisa and Michael would like to thank everyone for their support in the last few weeks and for the lovely messages and candles on this page. They would like to thank especially Phil and Anne at W Farrier for their help,

Next February on Colin's birthday Karen will be having an event on Dymchurch beach - where Colin often walked and star gazed - to celebrate his life and spread his ashes. (February 9th at 1.30pm)
