In loving memory of Winter Wolfe Gaskin who sadly passed away on 24th October 2015

Our beautiful baby boy lived a short life, yet all he knew was love. From the kisses mummy got on her big round pregnant belly, to the moment he met his proud family, right up until the moment daddy held him as he went to sleep, all he knew his whole life was love.

Where to start little Winter- saying goodnight to you today has been everything I had feared -incredibly sad, moving and heartbreaking.

But it has also reminded me about the beauty around us and the true inspiration that are your mummy and daddy and those who knew you best. Through their beautiful words and those chicken leg kicks I feel like I knew you too. We've laughed at those chunky legs, smiled at your great-grandmas words and admired the courage your mummy and daddy have shown in making today so special for you.

In 1 day you have achieved more than many of us can hope for in our lifetimes. Thank you for reminding me about the importance of loving without limit and holding on tight (with an iron grip as your daddy said) to the truly important things. Sleep tight beautiful sweet boy and keep watching over us all. ❄️?? xxxxx

Winter is coming! We had all be waiting,
Excited, eager, anticipating,
A Wolfe was born to a King and Queen,
The strongest hearts there has ever been,
But no sooner was he here,
it was time for him to leave,
Though not gone completey, it's important to believe,
This body is a shell,
it holds the soul that glows,
Winter's shell was tired,
but still his soul it grows,
The Wolfe became a star,
A ball of burning light,
Fuelled with all the love from when his body couldn't fight,
Now he lives above, in the sky and all around,
He's in the night and in the day, a spirit which knows no bounds,
He's a warm ray of sun,
That lays a kiss upon your skin,
He's the energy you need to muster strength from within,
So the next time you hear the howling wind blow,
Remind yourself it's Winter, he's the sparkle on the snow.
