In loving memory of Clifton Gerald Wray who sadly passed away on 18th October 2023

The service will be held at Hawkinge Crematorium on Friday 24th November 2023 from 1.30pm.

The funeral reception/wake will be held at the Leas Cliff Hall- Channel suite from 3pm onwards.

Cliff was a loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Foster Carer who had a dry sense of humour and a very eclectic taste in music.

He was the "king" of Dad jokes and Christmas crackers were a goldmine of material that he used often.

He liked to play music whilst working in his home office in the attic..... surprising the girls by playing Taylor Swift, R.E.M, Snow Patrol, Classical music or Ibiza club tunes. He always had Abba playing on his MP3 when he was doing the gardening or working on the house.

He loved quiz shows on TV and always had to watch QI if Stephen Fry was hosting it.

Allo Allo was another favourite and he liked watching this and laughing at the awful jokes.

Cliff will be greatly missed by all who knew him and we invite you to celebrate his life with us.

I would be grateful if those who wish to attend would confirm that you will be coming so that I can ensure that the caterer is aware and please feel free to add colour to your outfit on the day.

There will be a webcast of the service available for those who are unable to attend. The details are below-

My dear friend Louisa, daughter Holly, and Foster daughters Georgina and Amy. The sudden, and tragic passing of Cliff, your husband, father and Foster father, has been a cruel and devasting loss for you all. Take comfort in all the good times you shared with him and all those happy memories made. He was a family man through and through and loved you all dearly. That much is a surety. What is unsure in all your hearts right now is how you will move on without him. But you will, because it is what he would want for you, and will stand as a testament to all that you had together as a family. That bond will remain forever. With sincere love and heartfelt sympathy, Debbie, Mike and Jack.

Cliff was always thinking of the kids. Here he is helping at my local school and having fun along the way. He will always be missed.
