Funeral Director
After almost 5 years of battling cancer like a true warrior, on Monday 23rd October Melanie passed away peacefully with her close family around her, holding her tight.
Melanie fought hard to stay for as long as possible, and to experience as much of life as she could. She became very poorly last November and was given 2 weeks to live on Christmas eve 2022. However, Melanie was determined to prove the medical professionals wrong and with thanks to the Wisdom Hospice, who understood her determination, she got back on her feet. Meaning Melanie spent another 10 months reaching milestones like seeing her grandson William go to school, her oldest daughter Victoria's graduation and youngest daughter Holly's 40th Birthday, we were grateful for every one of those opportunities that we thought last year we would not get.
Melanie lived a full life, she loved her holiday's, especially Rhodes which she visited 12 times, along with setting up and running many successful businesses. Not only was she an amazing daughter, mum and wife, she cared for so many, having relatives living with her so that she could look after them, as well as fostering for five years. Melanie was loved by so many and has left an amazing legacy which will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be missed every day.
Melanie's wishes were that instead of flowers for her funeral, donations be made via this online tribute page in her memory to 'Friends of the Wisdom Hospice', to say thank you for all of the support they have given over the last 12 months.
