In loving memory of Paul (Ned) Sherlock who sadly passed away on 19th October 2023. He was adopted and arrived with his new family in simply the clothes he was wearing and a tin of Cow & Gate baby milk powder. He kept the tin for his whole life (although not the baby clothes!).
He was a very talented wood worker, having started out at the age 16 in an apprenticeship at Tuffs Boat Builders in London and he built and restored many beautiful pieces of furniture and crafted many beautiful models. He had an amazing eye for detail.
He was also a very talented musician and spent some time touring in Europe and the US with various bands. Above all, he adored his 4 boys, Arthur, Eddy, Fred and Eric and he also adored his family and many friends. He has left a massive hole in all our hearts.

To the family of Paul (Ned) Sherlock, I am so sorry to hear of Paul’s death. I only heard yesterday of his sad passing. Wishing you all love and comfort from happier times and memories. He was truly a unique person who brought warmth and happiness to many on his journey through this world. Rest in peace, Paul.

A day of a different variety when you so kindly arranged a tour round a warship HMS….. maybe Victory??? We even managed to slip in a drink in the Captains Quarters and resisted detonating the nuclear war heads!

I found this photo in my photo album from a long time ago, you were about 19/20 and I was 15, we wrote to each other for many years. You were a nice sweet guy and I'm glad I knew you 💙❤️

Remembering the time when we went up to the Lakes for Christmas. I was 19 and Paul was 25. Paul, as usual, was very sociable with everyone and he and I got pretty drunk on Christmas Eve (in fact we were pretty drunk throughout Christmas!). Mum and dad then decided that it would be a good idea for the four of us to go to Midnight Mass at the local church. We all went but Paul and I kept giggling, so much so that mum had to separate us! Just like old times when we were kids 😂❤️
