In loving memory of our most wonderful Mum, Mum in law and GD, Marion Dawson, who sadly passed away on 24th October 2023.
You will all have your lovely memories of Mum and we would love to hear them. For us, she was our loving, funny, wise, most determined, fiesty, stoic, fabulous Mum and GD (to the Grandchildren) and we miss her dreadfully.
The charity we have chosen is one which Mum volunteered for - SSAFA, the armed forces charity. She loved going and meeting the ex-service men and making a difference to their lives and the lives of their families. She would be just delighted if you would give in her name, although she would be appalled at all the fuss!
Mum's funeral is on 7th December at 2:00pm at Southend Crematorium. If you would like to join online, the service is being webcast and log in details are :-

Truly sorry to read this. I have often wondered and thought of you and I was glad to read that you remained mischievous and full of fun and wisdom I might add. You were my support at the RIE but more than that I loved our chats with your wry humour and honesty I appreciated that so very much. Sleep well

In memory of a truly fabulous woman
I'll never forget coming into your front room after school, and Marion being there, sitting on the sofa, nails painted red, reading a magazine! It's probably my memory playing tricks - I'm sure she would have been far too busy to be sitting around. But she always seemed like such a glamorous Mum - I loved those nails - and she bought much better chocolate biscuits. I was always a bit envious :)
I'm so pleased we saw her last year, bowling down the prom in her electric wheelchair, still the same wicked sense of humour... what a joy that was.
And never slow to share an opinion either!
