A good friend and work colleague for over 60 years. Many laughs and happy memories at Madisons doing all nighters, eating Dunkin Doughnuts at 2 in the morning. Then at Arabin Road, Genesis, Pavement Square, Artbeat, Drawing Power and of course meeting up with Peter and Susie in Surrey.

A truly wonderful friend for most of our lives always together for adventures such as holidays in Spain or skiing or golfing, with all the gang, we always had great fun and loads of laughs. Your love of music kept us all young and up to date. You will always be in our memories remembering the good times we had. Our dear friend you will be so sadly missed.

A truly wonderful man who we shared our life with growing up, our ‘Uncle Pete’ we have lots happy memories spent with him, which I will treasure forever. The photo below is of our Saturday morning cafe meet ups with myself, my sister, Dad, and all the gang, I used to love our brekkie in Ron’s cafe Mitcham on Saturday mornings, with our Uncle Pete always such fun, as were the lovely memories in Estartit on your boat, we had lots of fun adventures with everyone. I will never forget his love of music which, songs pete played will always remind me of him, one in particular sticks in my mind when we had a party for Dad’s 60th, Pete said ‘Michelle can you play Disco Inferno’ we danced the night away. You will always be in my heart, love you forever. Michelle xxxx

I first met Peter at our Golf Society KAGS (Kingswood Arms Golf Society) and he was one of those guys you immediately had a rapport with. Although we only ever saw each other at one of our Golf events you felt as though it was only yesterday. He was always happy, I can’t actually think of a better word to describe him, always interested in what I was up to, and always laughed at my pathetic jokes. I’ll miss him.

  • Great photo. Exactly as I remember him. Peter was one of my first opponents at our regular Saturday Swindle matches at Kingswood Golf. He wiped me aside but he was very nice about it ! Haro Bedelian

He took life easy and had an easy glamour about him, and I never heard him say a bad word about anyone - a gentleman and bon vivant. I have really happy memories of messing about in boats in Estartit - he had a small blow up boat with an outboard motor, called Nautica, driving to Switzerland to go ski-ing with Bruce Springsteen ‘Born to Run’ as the soundtrack (music was really important to Pete and he said you should pick an album to play when you went on a trip so that whenever you heard it you would remember that holiday/trip - and I do!). He had an art studio with friends in the West End of London called ArtBeat and in my school holidays as a young teen I worked as a runner and learnt how to get around London and it was a fabulous experience.

He was very close to my brother, Jon, and they were kindred spirits in terms of their enjoyment of life.

I don’t expect he knew how much of a good effect he had on me; I have nothing but really fond memories of him and it was lovely to see him find lasting happiness with Susie - it was obvious that they they were true soul mates, and to see him reconnecting with his daughters in Canada and enjoying a relationship with his grandchildren - it was obvious that he loved them all so much and was so proud of them.

Neil, Charlie and I are so sorry to hear about the very sad loss of Peter.
I've been lucky enough to have known him for nearly 40 years. He was a brilliant boss, who gave me the space to learn and let me make mistakes, more importantly he also made sure I knew when something was a success.
I've been lucky that Peter was in my life throughout good times and bad. He was always on the end of the phone to give me advice and was full of kindness and thoughtfulness, a true friend who always gave me his time. I will miss him and his magic, all his stories and a his great sense of humour.
