Roy Day (5 Feb 1945 - 4 Oct 2023)

In loving memory of Roy Day who sadly passed away on 4th October 2023

On the 4th October we lost our brilliant dad, True to form he passed on his “struggling along” baton and its taken a while to get things moving and plan his farewell. Roy’s funeral will be held at The Garden of England crematorium in Bobbing, Sittingbourne on Friday the 17th of November at 2PM. We will then raise a glass or two to him afterwards at The Appleyard sports bar, Gore Court Road, Sittingbourne ME10 1QN. All are very welcome to join us to say your final goodbyes to this wonderful man.

Roy was well known for his love of colourful shirts and ties. If you are able we would love to see his friends wear a splash of colour at his send off as he definitely would not want it to be a sombre affair. Roy had many friends and over the last few weeks we’ve had an opportunity to hear some memories and moments people have shared with dad. We would love to put together a written collection of Roy’s moments. If you’re able, please share with us a story about Dad.
