Words cannot describe the pain we feel at losing Den, taken so quickly from us. It is only after we have lost someone so dear that we realise it is the simple things we miss, his voice, his smile and most of all Den’s presence (not forgetting the jokes either!).

It will take time to take in he is no longer with us; our childhood memories will remain forever special and we must take comfort from these and the fun times we all had together.

Our hearts go out to Irene and Kathy but know, as a family, we will always be there for each other. God bless you Den xxxx

We have known Den since our daughters went to play school together. We had many enjoyable meals out with Irene and Den.

Den also cut John’s hair for many years until Covid. John hasn’t had a decent hair cut since then! Not only was he a great bloke, a brilliant barber but also a talented pianist. His jokes were second to none and in all the years we have known him, we never saw him unhappy.

We will miss you Den. God bless.

We all have very fond memories of the many family gatherings we had when the children were young. Den was very much an integral part of those occasions. He always brought a laugh and a joke with him. The picture of him you see here says it all. Den has been a wonderful husband to Irene and father to Kathy. Words may fail us when we try to express our feelings for him but words never failed Den. He was such fun to be with and to talk to.

To my dad,
I miss you so much. I miss our little unit of 3 and the fun times & laughter you, me & mum always had no matter what we were doing! You were always so happy in life everyday & not one day went by without a joke (bad & good!).
You're in my thoughts all the time & I know that you are still with me in spirit. A massive hole has been left in our lives without you. Me & mum will cherish all the moments we had together forever & will never let them fade.
Love you and miss you
Kath

Den was always such a fun person and making you laugh even if you weren't in the mood a great joker. Shall remember him fondly with love and gratitude, that he was such a good husband to my friend Irene, and loving father to his daughter Kathy. Always in my thoughts, lost far too soon. xxxxx
