Never met you but grew up in Ollerton so perhaps I did. I know you only from your books and they are a fitting tribute to someone who must have been a really decent person to write them. Saluté Teresa Bak

In loving memory of Teresa "Terry" Bak who sadly passed away on 3rd October 2023
Teresa was born in Langold 4th February 1954 to Albert and Iris Mitchell.
She advanced to Worksop Portland school, later her family moved to Ollerton and she went to the Dukeries Comprehensive .
On leaving school she worked for Barclays Bank at Newark. She then trained as a Branch Manager at Barclays
and ran the branch at Southwell . We met in 1973 and were married in 1975 at St Giles Church Ollerton.
Kurt our first son was born in 1977 - He sadly died of cancer aged 30 at Worksop . Karl our second son was born 1979 .
We ran a General Provisions shop in Ollerton for 5 years before the Miners Strike in 1984. After the strike we sold the shop and moved to Worksop where Terry worked for B&Q in the office . I became the Heritage project manager at Barlborough for 11 years where Terry and I researched the history of the Village and 2 halls there . Terry and I also conducted guided tours of the Barlborough Hall , built in the 1500's and now a school. Our son Kurt was born in 1977 Jubilee year, so we purchased a royal commemorative piece from the car boot. Little did we know that we would end up in Bonhams and Christies in London purchasing them for our collection ! We sold the collection many years ago but that started us purchasing them to sell world wide . In between Terry became a librarian at Kiveton until she retired . We would travel to America and Canada with pieces that collectors purchased from us . Together we travelled throughout England to buy at Antique auctions .We are the proud grandparents of Kian the son of Kurt and Isabelle the daughter of Karl.
DURING HER LIFETIME WE TRAVELLED THE WORLD TOGETHER !!!
