In loving memory of Sharon Stamper who passed away on 8th September 2023.
I was privileged and blessed to have spent the majority of my adult life with Sharon, being together for over 22 years. Without question, Sharon was and will remain my guiding light.
In her professional life, Sharon was an exceptionally talented lawyer. Her commitment, her professional abilities and her calm demeanour when dealing with high pressure situations for her clients was without equal.
However, it is Sharon's life away from work which brought real joy to all who have known her. In life generally, Sharon simply "got on with it". For her, obstacles were relegated to challenges, rarely insurmountable and always approached with determination and perseverance. Once triggered, her infectious laugh was wonderful.
Leading an active life was very much part of Sharon's DNA. From an early age, Sharon excelled at sport. A talented equestrian, a determined and formidable netball player, Sharon threw herself into her physical activities whenever she could but not to the detriment of experiencing a life rich in variety. From trekking up mountains to running 10ks, half-marathons and quietly performing incredible physical feats at bootcamp, Sharon embraced life. The outside, natural world was so important to Sharon.
Compassion and kindness ran through everything Sharon did. From rescuing animals in need and helping animal charities, to taking in our very own 'strays', Sharon put others first. To Harry and Tom, Sharon was a source of love, support, encouragement, wisdom and guidance as and when needed and always so pleased with their achievements.
Undoubtedly, Sharon has made me a better person and I hope all who knew her will reflect on the many special moments they shared with Sharon. For me, Harry and Tom, and Wendy and John, Sharon's loss is beyond painful and will always be felt. For Wendy and John, we will always be with you as Sharon would have wanted.
Rest now, my beautiful, kind angel. I know that you will be forever by my side and in my heart.
Always,
John xx
