RIP Janet. You have been taken far too soon you were always so young at heart and always had a smile on your face and made us laugh. Always remember you coming to our house on your scooter and you and my mum bopping to Elvis in the living room. So many nice memories 💝 sending love and strength to Mel and family and all Janet’s close friends you will definitely be missed xx

Having Janet as my grandma all my life has been such a blessing, she was a strong, beautiful and amazing woman who would always have the most beautiful smile when ever you saw her. It has broken all the family now she has gone, and I am truly gutted and wish she was still here. Grandma was full of joy and happiness ,you could never be sad around her because she would always bring a smile on your face and cheer you up no matter what. Knowing she has gone has left a massive hole in my heart but I know she will be looking down on me and guiding me through my life from now on. I will forever love you grandma ,rest easy ❤️

Having Janet for a friend throughout my life has been a true blessing. Our years growing up in Hade Edge meant we had to be creative in making our own entertainment from walking our dogs to jiving to records in my parents' spare room to more recent times when Janet, Mel and Sophie visited us in Wales. After moving to Barbados and even further from where our friendship first started, we would do regular video calls giving support to each other with all kinds of issues old friends could confidently share. I'm sure Janet will know she's only a thought away no matter the distance be it across the oceans or to the stars above our friendship will always be.

To Mel and family, I can’t believe Janet has gone, she was always so full of life. Always made us laugh and always had a smile on her face. We will never forget our wonderful childhood holidays with you, Auntie Millie and Uncle Bill, they were the best holidays ever…..we always got to have a second piece of cake 😃 Seeing you and Janet again in Cornwall was the best surprise ever. You always came over to see our mum each year before she passed away and I’ll always be so grateful to you for that. ❤️ Janet will never be forgotten, our memories will live with us always. Lots of love always Angela xxx

To Mel and all your family.
So sorry to hear the sad passing of Janet.
I have wonderful memories of growing up next door to her at Harden. We often used to go for long walks together. I used to love going round next door and have a dance to Elvis Presley.
Janet was brilliant with my mum and Frank, driving them between Dunford and Cinderhills every Friday after having fish and chips with them. She will be sadly missed.
Love from Lorraine and family in Scarborough
