Neil Nevison (24 Jan 1927 - 1 Sep 2023)

Neil sadly passed away on 1st September 2023 at Tunbridge Wells Hospital at the grand age of 96. He was the dearly loved husband of Janet, to whom he had been married for 61 years, and was the father of Clare and Barry. In 1989, Neil became a grandpa, and took an active part in the lives of his 5 grandchildren, Jo, Ross, Seth, Esme and Caleb. In 2018 Neil became a great-grandpa to Sophie, with Jonty arriving in 2022. Neil was also a much-loved father-in-law to Giles and Helen.

Neil was widely known as the Chief Photographer at the Kent and Sussex Courier, where he had worked for over 40 years before his retirement in 1990.

Neil was a keen fisherman and radio ham. He was an exceptionally gifted craftsman and handyman, and always gave his time to others with cheerful generosity.

Neil will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Neil’s funeral will be held at Tunbridge Wells Crematorium on Monday 23 October at 2.30pm. Everyone is welcome. Black is not required. Family flowers only, but donations in Neil’s memory may be made to the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance, which was a charity Neil actively supported during his lifetime.
