In loving memory of Carole Minnie Blackaby who sadly passed away on 29th August 2023

Mum was dearly loved by her sons, Paul and Keith, their respective wives (Andrena and Sonia) and all of her grandchildren (Harrison, Ellamae, Mackenzie, Bradley, Kyle, Charlie, Haiden and Avalon). Mum will be dearly missed and will forever be in all of our thoughts.

Happiest when she was busily creating things on a project, whether cakes or dresses, mum was a warm, kind, caring person who always thought of and put others first. She absolutely loved living in the village of Cherhill, enjoying the warmth of a kind and caring community. She missed her husband Ken, who died in 2008, very much.

Mum loved her cats and her dogs and Mum and and Ken loved travelling and, in particular, South Africa, where in different circumstances they may have settled.

Mum loved music. She fondly remembered going to see the last ever Queen concert with Paul and Keith in 1986 and always spoke about it as a fantastic day.

We love you mum. Very much. Will miss you forever.

The Service & Gathering Afterward
Our beloved mum's funeral service will be held at 13:00 on Monday 18th September at the North Wiltshire Crematorium in Wootton Bassett. We will not be wearing black because mum would not have wanted that. There will be a gathering after the service at 14:00 at the Sally Pussey's Inn. There will be some sandwiches, some beer and, inevitably, some tears.
There is a link to the Inn's website on the right side column of this page.
