John Charles Perry

14 Apr 1951 – 05 Aug 2023

Sadly passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday 5th August 2023 aged 72. He fought an extraordinarily long and brave battle, right to the very end, against mesothelioma.

He is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Linda, and their three children Ian, Martin & Claire and four grandchildren, Charles, Elizabeth, Arlo-John & Thorin.

He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and anyone who had the time to stop and chat.

Funeral service will be held at Semington Crematorium on Friday 8th September at 4pm, followed by a celebration of John’s life at Devizes Conservative Club.

Family flowers only.

Any kind donations will be gifted to Dorothy House Hospice.

When John worked for G.Pearce & Sons he was won of the ‘younger’ guys on the team. I used to love some of the laughs we had chatting at the Potterne Depot or if we just bumped into each other around and about. A truly nice guy who was not scared of a hard days work. He was a rare breed of old-school values but young at heart when I knew him then.

John was a lovely soul who in no way should have had to suffer as he did.

God bless you John, I will miss your wit and smiles but will not forget them. R.I.P.
