For John. A generous person who looked after and cared about those he loved. Called Home too soon.

John, everyone who knew us knew we argued a lot during our thirty years together, that's just the way we were, but what I wouldn't give right now to be able to continue that. We also had lots of happy times especially when we were away on holiday together but the happiest time of all was on our wedding day pictured above and that is what I will remember the most. I miss you so much, I have lost my soulmate. and I can't replace you. xxxx

John I met you when I was only 18 years old and together with Anita, we had many adventures over the years! My only regret is that I didn’t get to see more of you in these last few years. You are without doubt the most generous person I have ever known, I will miss all the stories about the adventures you and Anita have and I will miss knowing you are there to look after her and the rest of the family. RIP John. I'm sure you will be telling everyone "upstairs" how they should and shouldn't be doing things, unless its your way. Thinking of you Anita and all of the family at this very sad time. Sue xxx

Several years ago, John invited me and my then partner (and Anita) to a meal at his house in St. Oswald's Road which he was doing completely by himself. It was all from M&S which John microwaved, and was very nice. Anita assures me he had not done this before or since, so feel very honoured to have been singled out in this way! Thanks, John.
