In loving memory of Brenda Holmes who sadly passed away on 26th October 2015 at Lowmoor Nursing home, aged 68.

Brenda leaves behind a devoted husband Raymond, son David, daughter-in-law Claire, grandson Alfie and Brenda's loving sister Betty. She will also be loved and missed by extended family, friends and the people her life has touched, both locally and on her travels throughout the world.

The service will be held at Mansfield Crematorium at 11am on Monday the 9th of November and the family requests that mourners meet at the Crematorium at this time for a celebration of her life. It will be followed by a wake at the White Swan public house, Carter Lane East, South Normanton, where the family would appreciate as many people as possible attending to share their memories of Brenda.

The family are indebted to the great work which Alzheimers Research UK do and they request that donations be made in lieu of flowers. If you wish to make a donation please use the Gift Aid section on this page. A collection will also be available at the Crematorium for anyone who would prefer to donate in this way.

Brenda's family look forward to meeting friends to celebrate, reminisce and share happy memories of Brenda.

We still miss that 'early' Christmas card as yours was always the first to arrive. Happy memories of Florida and how you always organised us so well. May you now be at peace.

May you at last find peace. Thinking of you and missing you greatly. A wonderful friendship of 51 years, we shared so much and you were like a sister to me and an Auntie to my children. A kind, thoughtful, loving person who will always be thought of fondly.
May god bless you.

Joan & Ian

We have very fond memories of Brenda on our many outings in Florida and the UK and she will be sadly missed. Our photo depicts one such happy occasion with good spent exploring the boardwalk at New Smyrna Beach.
