Dan's departure from this world has left a void impossible to fill.
I count myself fortunate, amidst this profound sorrow, to have shared so many moments with him. From our early days as kids spending countless hours at each other's homes, to holidays by his side in Zante, Crete, and Mallorca where we had experiences I will never forget and will cherish forever. From the football fields where we battled side by side to win leagues and cups, to the most special moment when he stood next to me as the best man at my wedding.
Rest in peace, best friend. You are profoundly missed.

In loving memory of Daniel James Hogarth who sadly passed away on 1st July 2023.
For those who knew and loved Dan and would like to pay their respects, you are more than welcome to join family and friends for his Celebration of Life service. Dan will be making his final journey by horse-drawn carriage, from Alderwood Road, on Thursday 10th August 2023 at 2.45 p.m. arriving for the service at Kemnal Park Crematorium, starting at 3.30 p.m.
Please wear whatever colour is comfortable for you, but kindly limit black, as we would love his celebration to be as colourful as possible! We all know how much Dan loved the beautiful game, so feel free to wear your favourite football shirt!
If you are unable to attend in person, please get in touch (via the contact link above) to request Live Stream login details. Please provide your email address.
The family have asked for donations in lieu of flowers - there will be cash collections at the service and funeral reception, towards a memorial rose bush and bench for Dan, to be placed at Kemnal Park Crematorium. You can also make donations to the PDSA or PTSD UK via the links provided.
We will be celebrating Dan after the service at The Oaks, Starbuck Close, Green Lane, London SE9 2TD and would love for you all to join us in remembering the wonderful man he was.
Please share your memories and photos of Dan, whose passing will leave a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.

Dan, you’re such a good human - great sense of humour, easy to talk to & a great love for your family, including beautiful Ruby ❤️ I feel fortunate to have known you. Thank you for helping me on my fitness path & for keeping in touch. I have warm memories of our Zoom classes, the side chats with your Mum, Ruby & George the cat. Until we meet again, may the road rise up to meet you, may the wind always be at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face .. and may your football team win. A lot!
