In loving memory of Daniel James Hogarth who sadly passed away on 1st July 2023.

For those who knew and loved Dan and would like to pay their respects, you are more than welcome to join family and friends for his Celebration of Life service. Dan will be making his final journey by horse-drawn carriage, from Alderwood Road, on Thursday 10th August 2023 at 2.45 p.m. arriving for the service at Kemnal Park Crematorium, starting at 3.30 p.m.

Please wear whatever colour is comfortable for you, but kindly limit black, as we would love his celebration to be as colourful as possible! We all know how much Dan loved the beautiful game, so feel free to wear your favourite football shirt!

If you are unable to attend in person, please get in touch (via the contact link above) to request Live Stream login details. Please provide your email address.

The family have asked for donations in lieu of flowers - there will be cash collections at the service and funeral reception, towards a memorial rose bush and bench for Dan, to be placed at Kemnal Park Crematorium. You can also make donations to the PDSA or PTSD UK via the links provided.

We will be celebrating Dan after the service at The Oaks, Starbuck Close, Green Lane, London SE9 2TD and would love for you all to join us in remembering the wonderful man he was.

Please share your memories and photos of Dan, whose passing will leave a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.

Dan's departure from this world has left a void impossible to fill.

I count myself fortunate, amidst this profound sorrow, to have shared so many moments with him. From our early days as kids spending countless hours at each other's homes, to holidays by his side in Zante, Crete, and Mallorca where we had experiences I will never forget and will cherish forever. From the football fields where we battled side by side to win leagues and cups, to the most special moment when he stood next to me as the best man at my wedding.

Rest in peace, best friend. You are profoundly missed.

Thank you to everyone who came to the service yesterday, who took the time to watch online, for all your beautiful tributes and kind donations. I'm sure the sight of Daniel arriving at Kemnal Park by horse-drawn carriage must have taken your breath away, I know it did mine when he arrived at home for his final journey.

There are simply no words to describe how utterly devastated we are at Daniels' untimely and needless loss after such a short period of illness. We just hope he felt the love yesterday and will continue to always know how much he is loved and missed.

My not-so-little nephew was the light, heart and soul of our family and we will always cherish the memories of fun times together with him, Susan, Logan and our kids. We could always count on him to bring the fun, energy, laugher, practical jokes and mischievous giggles. He was simply the nicest guy and life just won't ever be the same without him.

Come and visit us often Dan - we'll look out for the signs.

Love Aunty Suzy xx

I wish I could’ve been there today! Lost one of the good guys but never forgotten.
Still remember when we was little doing the Saturday morning football over Avery hill park which is where I met you and then going the same schools.

Would always bump into you locally and have a good chat, will miss that.

Sending my love to your family.

Sleep tight mate. Lots of love

I'm sorry I couldn't be there today to say goodbye to Dan. I've been thinking about Dan, Sue, Logan and all Dan's family and friends all day. It was a beautiful, touching and emotional service for a wonderful man who I've had the pleasure of knowing as my neighbour for over 30 years. I'll miss you Dan and Alderwood Road will never be the same without you. Rest peacefully. Sending all our love.

I am sorry I wasn’t there to say goodbye today but I have been thinking of Dan and his loved ones all day. Dan was just a wonderful human. He lit up the room. He was charismatic, warm, cheeky, fun and always so upbeat. Like so many others, I first met Dan in the gym 15 years ago. He ignited a passion for boxing and was an amazing trainer. He will be missed by so many.
I’m pleased the sun shone for him today on his final journey. Rest in peace Dan x
