In loving memory of Charles Robert Graham Oldfield who sadly passed away on 24th June 2023
I am absolutely gutted to have heard this news from El Rossington this week! So sad.
I spent five great years with Charlie in Mountgarret House at Worksop College and shared a study with him and Martin Beevers in 5th Form. As everyone knows he was the penultimate sportsman, especially Hockey and Cricket - but he was also 1st XV rugby and an athlete!!
Absolute gentle giant of a man - my sincere condolences to his wife, children, family & friends!! Xx
So sorry just to have heard this news. A fellow classmate at NTU, Charlie was such a kind and gentle person with a caring nature and lovely smile. Many fond memories of student nights out and lengthy group work presentations! Thoughts to all who were close to Charlie and have lost him at such a young age.
I had the privilege of knowing Charlie in our Nottingham Trent days and I have some lovely memories and stories from that time. I hope the NTU crowd can meet in the near future to share some of those stories in memory of Charlie. We had not been in regular contact in recent years so I have only just heard the news of his passing but my thoughts are with his family. A wonderful, kind hearted man who will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.
