In loving memory of Jeremy Roger Calvert who sadly passed away on 28th June 2023, aged 69 years.

Our wonderful, kind and selfless Dad lost his short battle with cancer and we are all absolutely heartbroken. He was always there, no matter the time of day, if ever we needed him. He welcomed others in and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He loved his wife, Jean, our mum, with every ounce of his body and devoted the last 10 years in caring for her.

We know he made friends wherever he went, he was one of life’s good guys - whether it was on his dog walks to the local park, shopping in Sainsbury’s or at work, he always had time to stop and chat.

We would really like to raise some money for the Wisdom Hospice, who did an amazing job caring for Dad in his final days - there aren’t enough words to express how deeply grateful we are for their support. Also, we’d like to raise some money for Cancer Research.

If you’re able to, please come along to the funeral or to the wake which will be held at The Appleyard on Remembrance Avenue from approximately 12 noon.

Thinking of all the family and remembering when we were kids, being picked up from netball in Bertha. We even took a trip to find mum on the farm at work in Bertha when I was ill at primary school. So many memories, he will be missed xxx

Jerry x Thank you for your kindness, friendship and laughter over the years at work, you were always there to sort out a problem no job too big or small.
I'm so sorry you had your health issues as you didn't deserve them.
Kirsty, I lost my Dad at Easter this year and it is horrible so I know how you must be feeling. It doesn't go away but you find a new normal and find a way of coping. Always here if you need a hug or just a chat.
I will miss you Jerry, sleep tight xx

One of life's true gentlemen and a thoroughly gentle man. Nothing was ever too much bother and he always did everything with a smile. He always loved that I would ask after Jean every time I saw him once she had left work. He was so devoted her and his family and always spoke to fondly of them. Once he retired I would catch up with him on occasions when walking my dog in Albany. A true gentle man who I know will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Good night and God bless Jerry xx
