In loving memory of Patricia Lewis who sadly passed away at home after a short illness on 3rd July 2023 surround by all her immediate family.
Patricia was my loving wife, my best friend and the love of my life whose companionship I’d known for the last 65 continuous years - we were planning our 60 years of marriage in September 2023.
It’s been a devastating blow to all the family to loose someone who was integral to all of our plans and activities.
Patricia had a professional career and retired at 60 to enjoy our greater family life, which has produced three wonderful children and 7 terrific grandkids.
Born in Blackrod and raised in Wigan - where her Father was a Police Constable, I first met Pat at the Court Hall Ballroom Wigan, where, with my mates I went on most Saturday Evenings.
We married in 1963 and settled in Standish, where our first two children were born. Judith and Richard.
Within a few years we moved to Heath Charnock, where we still live, and Elizabeth was born.
Our years in Heath Charnock have been very happy ones. Our children all went to local schools and were fully integrated into the local community
Pat enjoyed St Paul’s and our girls acted in local pantomimes.
We enjoyed happy holidays together and watched our children’s lives develop and grandchildren appear.
All this we enjoyed together and Patricia was the centre of our family and we’re all totally devastated by her tragic and sudden death.
