Ian Alexander Green of 18 Hunt avenue unexpectedly passed away aged 57.
Ian took his last breath surrounded by his family on 9th May 2023.

Ian, a lifelong resident of Southampton, spent the majority of his working life recovering vehicles with JMA Salvage and finally proudly as part of the make ready team with the ambulance service. It's tough to summarise 57 years of such a character. Ian loved a prank and a good laugh. Chatting to anyone who would listen, browsing the carboot sales and collecting dvd's.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36years Caroline.
Ian and Caroline lived together with Carolines son Mark. They then grew their family adding 4 more children, Jason, Simon, Scott and Rebecca.

The outpouring of love and care has been comforting in this terrible time.
The family would like to extend a big thank you to those who have given their time and condolences.

The family has requested no flowers instead please feel welcome to give a little towards the costs via our go fund me page by the link below. Thank you to those who have donated already.

Worked alongside Ian at Nursling as part of the team making ready the ambulances of South Central Ambulance Service enabling the frontline crew to go save lives. Ian loved to chat, he gave me a run for my money. He always had that lovely smile. I left to work for the operational support desk for SCAS and our team would speak to Ian regularly on the phone about vehicles... as usual he loved to chat and by the end of the call neither could remember why he called in the first place. R.I.P Ian and watch over your family xx I know I owe you fruit salads and blackjacks
