Lolo Agnes Okwuchi Chukwuekezie Igwe was born into the family of the late Josiah and Suzanna Onwusiama of Umudim in Onuimo Local Government Area in Imo State. Growing up, Agnes was a great support to her family. She married the late Chief Engineer Donatus M.C. Igwe and they were blessed with seven children. Agnes and her husband worked together to provide for and guide their family. Agnes initially worked as a nurse in the NHS, before training and qualifying as a chef - a role that would cement her children's opinion of her being the best cook in the world.
Lolo Agnes also had a big, caring heart and over the years was involved in her community such as her local Church - Our Lady of Sorrows, in the Legion of Mary group. She was also a part of the welfare team of the Isuikwuato Okigwe League, as well as giving to the wider community.
Lolo Agnes embodied strength of character, honour, loyalty and unconditional love. These traits have been in overdrive since her husband passed away. She served as the heart of her family, embodying these values that she shared with her husband, and being an ever-present guide to her children as well as her blessing of grandchildren. She is now with God, resting in perfect peace.
Lolo Agnes Okwuchi Chukwuekezie Igwe is survived by her children and grandchildren and from her paternal family, her brother Charles and sister Patricia.
