In loving memory of Shirley June Woodcock who sadly passed away on 16th June 2023, aged 88 years.
Shirley was born in London, where she spent her early years before being evacuated to Gloucester until she was 15. She returned to London to pursue a career in hairdressing and trained at Loreal .
She met and fell in love with Norman ,they moved to Essex and went on to have 2 children Vincent and Mandi . She was a dotting Mum , and was immensely proud of both her children.
She had many jobs once she moved to Essex, from a sales lady in the department store at Keddies and another which was running the catering suite at the Civic Centre and the franchise for Uncle Toms Cabin & East Beach cafe . In later years she became a cleaner which she loved & a full time carer for Norman.
Once retired she spent most of her time with her beloved dog Teddy and crafting, she was a fantastic crocheter and knitter, and loved nothing more than making baby hats for the premature baby ward, donkeys for the donkey sanctuary & blankets for her friends and loved ones. She had an infectious laugh, and never lost her love of a good game of bingo . Sport played a massive part in her life, and was devoted to Ronnie O Sullivan, and Louis Hamilton, and watched every match and race that they were in. She could tell you anything about motor racing , snooker , tennis, golf, darts & athletics.
She was one hell of a lady and will leave massive holes in our hearts for evermore .
