Charles Alfred Wright (8 Jul 1933 - 17 Oct 2015)

In loving memory of Charles Alfred Wright who sadly passed away on 17th October 2015 at the age of 82.
Beloved husband of Marie and father of Susan and Grandfather to Laura, David & Joe.
Charlie was one of 5 children born and brought up in Bermondsey. He followed Millwall FC all his life and spent many an hour on the terraces at the Den with his Brothers.
Charlie and Marie married on 1st October 1955 at Mary Magdalen Church in Bermondsey Street and recently celebrated their Diamond wedding.
Charlie started work in the docks following in the footsteps of his Father Joe Wright. Most of his working life was spent in the City working for BP and later for CCLA.
Along with his good friend Ron Bentley Charlie spent his national service years in Egypt and was always a great supporter of the armed forces and their charities and for this reason I know he would have preferred donations to be made to Help the Heroes instead of floral tributes.
