In loving memory of Jean who sadly passed away on 12th June 2023.

Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She spent many years as a secondary school teacher, teaching Languages and PE at local schools, with the majority of her time at Danum School.

After retiring she spent her time volunteering, working in the community, quality time with her family and grandchildren. She was an Elder at the Intake URC church, a member of the Trefoil Guild and spent time supporting her favourite rugby team, the Doncaster Knights.

Jean loved connecting with and helping people, and had time for everyone.

Jean was a beautiful, kind, caring person who will be very sadly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

The family have respectfully asked for flowers not to be sent but rather, if anyone wishes, to donate to charities close to Jean, the British Heart Foundation, and FireFly a local Doncaster charity who supported Jean.

The British Heart Foundation donations can be provided via this page.
FireFly donations can be made at the funeral or sent to W.E Pinder Funeral Directors.

Such a sad loss of a great woman, she was a fabulous French teacher (I am sure I was far from a great student) and I have now gone on to work with Helen, her daughter.
My thoughts are with the family at this sad time.

We have some lovely memories of times we have spent with Jean (and Malcolm) Including bumping into them at the coast with Adam and Oliver. We got to spend a lovely afternoon together at Sewerby and then Filey the next day and had some laughs and she was always great company and very social. I always enjoyed bumping into her on school runs and scouting events. Then got to spend the afternoon with her for the Queen’s jubilee last year. She was happy, chatting and enjoying herself with her family around her. A remarkable lady who will definitely be missed by us all. Much love to Malcolm and the family xx

So sorry to hear of Jeans passing. Jean came to Doncaster racecourse and worked with myself and Iris on Lonsdale Bar. As l got to know Jean she found out from her mum that they were related to my Husband's family. We had so much fun working together. I hope they've got some cream scones for you Jean wherever you are. Thank you for your friendship. Condolences to Malcolm and family β€οΈπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

  • We met Jean on a Buckley’s holiday and knew straight away that she would fit in perfectly and be an asset to High Levels Trefoil Guild. Chris Broxholme
