We are sad to announce the death of Ruth Green, who passed away peacefully on 25th May 2023 aged 66 years.

She leaves behind a loving husband, Paul, her three children, Emma, David and Annabel, as well three cherished grandchildren, Isobel, James and Jessica.

Ruth was a wonderful wife, mum and nanna who was always there when we needed her. She had many friends and was a well loved member of the community in Scarborough as a devoted Careers Advisor to young adults.

Ruth made everyone laugh and amazed people with her talent as a musician. She leaves a big hole in everyone's heart and will be missed terribly.

Funeral Service to be held at Seamer Methodist Church on Tuesday 20th June at 1pm followed by cremation.

Family flowers only, but if desired donations can be made in Ruth's memory for The British Liver Trust via the collection at the service.

We ask that for anyone who wishes to attend the Funeral Service and or the Reception at East Ayton Lodge, they confirm their attendance using the function online or inform the family direct.

Ruth was a well respected colleague, and I would like to send my thanks for everything that she did for the students in our Scarborough schools. My sympathy goes to her family and my thoughts are with you at this time.

My Nanna was a wonderful Nanna. She loved reminiscing about her own childhood stories with me. She taught me all I needed to know about Paddington Bear,Cliff Richard and Phantom of the Opera. She loved a good cup of tea even though she never finished it and a good jam on crackers. I love and miss her dearly and always will.
