In loving memory of Joyce Mary Brown who sadly passed away on 13th May 2023.
Joyce was born in 1927 in Hadleigh, Essex to John and Violet Polley. As the first child Joyce was soon joined by her three sisters, Eileen, Jean and Georgina, and then their long awaited brother, Michael.
Married in 1947 to Raymond, they enjoyed 74 wonderful years together before Raymond sadly passed away in August 2021. Most of those years were spent living in Leigh on Sea and then Shoeburyness with their four children, Peter, Denise, Anthony and Trevor . Their family quickly grew to include eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Joyce and Raymond lived independently together until 2021, when due to poor health, they moved into a residential home in Shoeburyness where Joyce spent her final days. They are now happily together again in Heaven.
Joyce was a lovely mum, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all her family and many friends.

I feel very fortunate to have known Joyce she was a no nonsense lady who wasn’t afraid of speaking her mind. Some would say ahead of her time. When she laughed she had a twinkle in her eye and I will always remember that twinkle . Sending love and thoughts Lesley xx
