Darren.

Months on and I’m still thinking of you every single day. You were my client and became my friend. You were lovely to my son whenever you came to my home to fix something and you and I together were going to do great things in the future! I was sure of it!

I still feel hurt to this day, I remember when you called me to tell me that you weren’t well and you took your news like you took life, it is what it is. You were like me but 20 years ahead. I have asked Jesus to look after you and I will see you again old mate and I hope it’s very soon!

Genuine! Honest! Laughable! Likeable and Lovable!

Well Darren,

Your adventures are at an end. I will cherish the many memories of wonderful times spent together.

A fantastic sense of humour with a caring, kind heart. You really were unique. You’ve left so many people with warm memories of the moments they shared with you.

So sorry that you have missed out on the long, happy future you richly deserved.

Well my dear and good friend Darren, life is a struggle without you mate as I suppose it would have been for you without me. Time heals I know and I will learn to get along without your company, but I will never forget you. R.I.P. mate and I did love you, just so you know. Your best friend Mikexxx

Darren, thank you for always being able to show up at just the right time to help me waste an hour at work chatting bollocks with you, for believing in me and reminding me that there is more to life than work work work, even though you would never follow your own advice! I owe you more than I could ever repay, I think of you every time I switch the lights on, and I wish I could listen to another one of your wise, endearing, expletive filled rants!! I miss you and will always be thankful to have had you in my life.

To a unique Individual who had many enduring qualities.
Darren was a warm, caring ,honest, generous and supportive guy, who would try to help anyone.
I would like to remember him for his brilliant sense of humour.
The one phrase he always liked to quote was
"This Time Next Year We Will All Be Millionaires"
But he was a True Life Millionaire.
RIP Darren you left us far too soon.

Well Mr H, what can I say, it looks like it’s gonna be a long distance call from now on mate when I need a bit of advice or my spirits lifting.
you were always there with your latest stories of the world of Hanner which use to have me in stitches and your next idea that was in the pipeline.
One of life’s true characters and an absolute gent and true force of nature to whom I held in highest regard and I’ll miss greatly!

Rest in peace Mr H

Dear Darren I was first to see you and mum after you were born. She was so proud of you and always has been of your achievements. You will be so missed by all, everyone loved you, your friendliness and quick wit. To lose Gloria when you had such a happy marriage and now to lose you. Life is impossible to fathom out sometimes. Big Brother,
I don't know what to write without getting all teary eyed. This is the 4th time I visited the page and left a blank. I feel gutted and cheated of a brother taken well before his time... Who is going to give me advice now, Darren? Mum said you were in a lot of pain and suffering badly towards the end, in that sense I'm glad that is over with. I miss you. Waiting for an email reply. Waiting. Waiting for a reply that will never come. Fighting back the tears now, Darren. Have to go.

Hope you are fishing Earlham park. Hope you and Gloria are reunited. Say hi to Gary for me, won't be to long now, me and Gary will be back in the coal bin again.

Lost,
Little Brother
Aaron

Bob and I were so sad to hear about Darren’s illness and death. We never had the pleasure of meeting him in person but we’ve heard so much about him from his mum, Jean Mcfarlane, who is so close to our hearts. Rest, Darren. We will do our best to take care of your mum. ❤️

Rest in peace Darren. I especially remember many years ago working on and under the bridges in Norwich with you. Such a great character and sense of humour. I can imagine you now driving the "sorted" Escort van up in the sky. Let's just hope the engine mounts don't break this time! All the very best wishes and memories. Mal

I think it's fair to say you've been taken too soon. We've lost one of life's true characters and it will be that little bit duller without you in it! Thanks for the memories buddy.

Time to rest Daz!

David
