In loving memory of Mark Foley who sadly passed away on 6th May 2023.
My lovely dad's funeral will take place at Huddersfield Crematorium at 12.30 May 30th. We will leave from dad's barge in Slawit I'd love for as many people as possible to see him leave from the barge around 11.30. Then after the service we will have a wake at Zapoto and share fond memories. He'd always love to meet for a pint there.

Lost touch over recent years but he was a skilled and knowledgeable colleague at DDH. Gone far too soon. God bless

Mark was the first person I met when I moved to Slawit, over four and a half years ago. A very special friendship grew that I will miss with all my heart. We spent many hours talking, debating, laughing, sharing stories about our bikes and at times crying as well as our mutual love and respect for the amazing Percy who spent holidays up at Slawit Hall!

Dear Marks family. I was upset and saddened to hear of Marks passing. I first met Mark when I was a student nurse passing through theatres on placement at Dewsbury Hospital. It’s pretty daunting been a student but Mark looked after me during that placement and helped me get through it. I caught up with him again at an away game in Barnsley when we both watched our shared love, Leeds United. He was a true gent and a lovely bloke and I know he adored his family. He will be sorely missed by all but I know he’ll be watching over you all from up there and I dare say keeping an eye on his favourite football team. Love ya big man. RIP.

Mark was born three weeks before I was, and was my only Foley cousin. We grew up in different environments thousands miles apart and our paths in life were just as different. It was wonderful to re-connect with Mark in 2014. We had enough time to learn what a rich life Mark had built; the family, friends and colleagues that loved and appreciated Mark for the strong and caring man that he was. We did not have enough time to hear as many of his life stories as we would have liked. It is so sad to lose him and he will be deeply missed by so many.
