In loving memory of Graham Michael Hobbs who sadly passed away on 26th March 2023

Graham was born in East Bridgford on the 16th of September 1963 to Jean and Mick and was a younger brother for Sue. He continued to live in the village for his whole life and became a well known character.

Graham had a passion for all things nature, but his main focus had always been birds, fish and plants. He was a man of many talents whether that was playing darts or skittles, gardening, fishing or even sharpening knives! But where Graham really shone was cricket, where he was even asked to play for the England indoors team.

Graham became a loving parent to his daughter, Lily, when she was born in 2000. As Lily was growing up, the two would spend nights together cooking dinner, watching films and even having competitions of who could build the biggest ‘house of cards’, these are memories that she will cherish forever.

Graham had a difficult time in his life in 2004 when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma but with the help and care of the hospitals he beat his cancer and overcame the illness.

In later years, Graham still enjoyed going fishing and even went on a yearly holiday with his fellow fishermen.

Graham will be missed dearly by his family and friends. We will always carry the memory of our Nobby in our hearts.
