John Walter Antony Adamson (Tony) passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Tuesday, 25 April 2023 at St Margaret's Nursing Home in Hythe, after a long illness.
Tony was born in Otley, Yorkshire on March 21st, 1931. He completed his National Service with the RAF followed by a career in banking as a TSB Bank Manager and Chief Inspector and subsequently as Financial Administrator for Linkage Community Trust in Lincolnshire until his retirement.
In spite of being diagnosed with end stage renal failure in 2009, Tony continued to live an active life including taking many overseas trips with his wife Mary, until his health declined in recent years.
Tony is predeceased by his son Martin. He leaves behind his loyal and loving wife Mary, daughter Heather, grandchildren Ellen, Edward and Amalie.
A small funeral will be held at Hawkinge Crematorium on May 18th at 12.30 PM. Family flowers only, donations if desired.
