Quite a shock to read this more than a year after Roy’s passing. We were colleagues in the 1960s at the Vigilant Assurance Company in Croydon and Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, City solicitors, and it was Roy who introduced me to Barlows. I remember Roy with a shock of dark curly hair, but could recognise him in the photograph above. I once visited Roy and his lovely wife Jacqui at Tenterden, but before that at Fulham where I remember meeting his father and mother - another lovely lady. Roy and Jacqui came to my wedding in 1975 and I still have their wedding present to us!
