In loving memory of Bernard Snook who sadly passed away on 18th March 2023.

Bernard was the much-loved husband of Margaret, father of Helen and Paul and grandfather of Emily, Lucy, Robert and Matthew.

He was an airline pilot for British Airways and enjoyed flying hang gliders in his spare time. Other interests included wild flowers and nature conservation. After retiring in 1987 his main hobby was music and he enjoyed playing with the Crawley Accordion Orchestra for the rest of his life.

He will be much missed by all of us.

Many happy memories of our friend Bernard and always remembered as a fellow accordionist and friend. He was one of life’s gentlemen and will be sadly missed.

I was so sorry to hear of Bernard's passing. When 3 friends and I joined the CAO many moons ago he made us feel so welcome, and always strove to do his best for the orchestra, e.g. playing the Bass occordion (which no one else could master!), persuading people to join the orchestra, or giving people lifts to events.

I will remember him as an accomplished Accordionist and a Gentleman, and he will be sorely missed.

A true gentleman, kind, considerate, dependable and mild-mannered. I will forever value the friendship that was shared with Bernard. I will miss our conversations, his encouragement and the pleasure of sharing in music a very compatible preference and appreciation. He will indeed be greatly missed.
