On 30th March 2023, after a very short battle with acute myeloid leukaemia, Shaun died in hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was a very much loved husband of Samantha, dearly loved dad of Rebecca and Sophie, dear father in law of Dexter and Callum and proud papa of Rosie and Luca, beloved son in law, brother in law, uncle and friend.
Shaun had a zest for life like no other and always had a smile on his face. He lived his life to the full everyday, enjoying everything he did from travelling to gardening and spending time with his family. Shaun was the life and soul of a party his passion for life was completely infectious. He was thought of so highly by his loved ones, friends and clients and will be dearly missed.
Funeral service will be held at St Aidan’s RC Church on Friday 21st April 2023 at 1.30pm, followed by a committal and interment in St Mary’s Parish Churchyard at 2.30pm. Friends and family please gather at the church. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made online or sent to George Brooke Ltd.
The two chosen charities are both very close to our heart. York Gate garden in Leeds was a very much loved place of Shaun's which he has visited and been a member for many years. He enjoyed visiting the gardens for inspiration and relaxation.
We have also chosen Blood Cancer UK, in the hope that donations can continue to improve the treatment and outlook for patients who have are diagnosed with the aggressive type of cancer.
