In loving memory of Jo Young who passed away peacefully after a short illness on March 28th 2023.
Jo was born on the 18th March 1936 and lived most of her life in Wollaton, firstly on Plantation Road with her Mum Biddy and her younger brother Jim and in later years on Wroxham Drive.
In 1971 Jo married John Young and together they had two daughters, Fiona and Nicola, living at St Leonards Drive in Wollaton until John sadly passed away in 1988.
Jo was never happier than when surrounded by family and friends, she went on to have five grandchildren and two great grandchildren and was incredibly proud of them all.
Jo loved horses and spent many happy hours during her early years riding around the fields of Wollaton and Strelley. Later on Jo would enjoy many hobbies including swimming, hand bell ringing, cake decorating and singing.
Jo had many great friends, several of whom she had known for most of her life. In her last few weeks it gave Jo great pleasure to reminisce and share happy memories with her friends and family.
Jo’s funeral is at 2.30pm at St Leonards Church, Wollaton on Thursday April 20th followed by cremation at Bramcote Crematorium and a wake at the Admiral Rodney pub, Wollaton.
