In loving memory of Daniel Luke Martin Hart who sadly passed away on 8th February 2023
It’s with great sadness that we gather here today as we come to say goodbye to Daniel. Known to so many as DUKE.
Daniel was born in Sutton Coldfield on 17th August 1990, the eldest of six children. His siblings Tyler,Jordon,Charlie,Lexi and poppy.
He was very much a local lad and always thought of Tamworth as “his area”. A rebel from an early age, he never really got on with school, but even as a boy loved motorbikes and showed proficiency for sports, especially rugby.
After leaving school, Daniel got a job, first working on a building site and then shot blasting with his dad. Later, he worked at Stormking, but he was always a jack-the-lad, willing to turn his hand to anything to make some money – with which he was always generous with. Daniel was good at art, and enjoyed drawing, especially cartoon characters. He also spent many happy hours going to the gym with his bros, and loved to pose for the camera, loving trying all Snapchat filters out. He was a life-long Aston Villa supporter which of course brought Daniel many highs and lows, including swearing at the TV when they lost. Motorbikes were a lifelong interest for Daniel; he had owned many over the years including pit bikes, ninjas, Yamahas, quads and a crosser, as well as a superbike – in fact he loved just about anything with an engine.
In time Daniel was blessed with 7 children; first Riley in 2008, and then Heidi, Conrad, Mason, Leila. And in 2015 got with his partner Zena an was blessed with two more children Aston an abel. I’m told that he was a great dad, who thought about his children every day, an would of done anything for his kids. Daniel was a very family-orientated person and was close to his wider family, all his cousins, uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews aswell as the rest of his family. always a big kid at heart, he enjoyed nothing better than spending time with them, taking his sisters and Leila – his “little princess” to the zoo, swimming, cinema, bowling and the sea life centre, amongst many other days out, which will always be precious memories.
Over the years, Daniel enjoyed holidays to Skegness, Devon and Blackpool amongst other places.
As you all will know, Jägers were Danny’s favourite drink; he used to buy them 24 at a time, and at one point drank one particular caravan park completely dry. Daniel was always someone who had a lot of friends. He was known as “Dan the Man” and the BFG – the Big Friendly Giant. Always a lovable rogue, and someone with a lot of love in his heart, he was well loved by his friends who thought of him as one in a million.
As someone in relatively good health, Daniel’s sudden death on the 8th February was an enormous shock to all who knew him but although Daniel no longer with us in person he is always here with us in our hearts and still managing to get everyone together celebrating his life in the style he loved to.
