In loving memory of Alexander Anthony Granger who sadly passed away on 17th March 2023
We ask you all to join with us in a Service of Celebration for Alex on Friday 14th April 2023
The Service will be held at Peter Newton Pavilion and will take the form of family tributes, poems and music along with a photo tribute to honour this great man.
We, the family would like you all to remain at Peter Newton after the service for refreshments and to share your memories of Alex with us whilst raising a glass in his memory.
We have arranged for Family Flowers to be present at the service and we would prefer that you don't wear black or dark colours .
We would be most grateful if you could let us know if you are intending to be present at the service by clicking on the attending button.
We also ask that you each share your favourite memory of Alex on this page and please feel free to upload any photo's you have of this much loved gentleman.

I knew Alex from when we both trained as a train driver. Alex and I spent many hours studying, trying to get the heads up on upcoming assessments questions etc (my lips are sealed Alex). I felt very honoured to have met such a gentleman, we shared many stories and had an awesome sense of humour. Always wanted to help others and was very popular at work. It was an absolute shock to hear such sad news and my thoughts are with his family during these difficult times. I would like to thank his family for letting us be part of such difficult day and for letting me attend to pay respects. Lastly, Alex you will be missed from the railway community but never forgotten.

I knew Alex in our teen years, hanging out in Hillcroft. I may have even said he was my boyfriend for a short while lol. I haven’t seen him in many years but was sad to hear about his passing.
I hope the day goes alright for you all - sorry I can’t be there.

A great friend with so many great memories and fun times with Alex, he will be very much missed and always in my thoughts with fond memories of all the mischeif we got upto, and us both getting thrown out of Chemistry together. ♥️😢X
