Luigi was a remarkable man and will remain loved and remembered by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.

The most wonderful father to Emma and husband to Kate; a man who had a rare gift with people and an ability to connect with everyone, no matter who they were or where they came from.

He always knew which wine to pair with what food and there was always a story behind “why”, there was never a dull conversation in Luigi’s kitchen!

I remember the speech he gave at Emma’s wedding - never has a father been more proud and full of love for their daughter - a moment I will always treasure.

You will be greatly missed.

All our love,

Jordan and Neil.

Pulmonary Fibrosis is still an under-researched condition that few outside of the medical profession have heard of. It can be misdiagnosed and it is not unusual for a diagnosis to be made when the disease is advanced, which, sadly, was the case with my dear dad.

It is a condition that took so much from my dad, although he kept that twinkle in his eye until the end. Thank you so much to those of you who have donated already. Sad as I am to have lost somebody who meant so much to me to this cruel illness, it is a comfort to know that whatever we choose to donate could fund research and support affected individuals and families.

A wonderful, kind-hearted, charismatic and supportive father figure in my life. Always had a smile, joke and words of wisdom to lift your spirits. A true gent through and through. See you again one day for sure to finish off that bottle of Port together. Thanks for all the fond memories. Sincere condolences to Kate, Emma and family. RIP Luigi. X
