Uncle Johnnie will always be remembered to me as the Great Uncle that took time to show interest in my life, to ask after me and share the most amazing advice. He could always make me laugh and shared the same unique humour as my Grandad, Jim Parkinson. I remember growing up knowing that Great Uncle Johnnie was a huge part of our family lives and I know he helped us as a family in many ways. He will be forever in my heart as a true gentleman that spread his kindness, compassion and integrity wherever he went. We were very sad to not be able to make the funeral, but have planted a tree in memory of our dear Great Uncle in our garden. Sending love to all the Parkinson’s and extended family. Chloe and Bertie xx
