Remembering many Happy times spent with Janet Tom and Family.
Janet's quiet nature but infectious laugh and her wonderful Musical gifts which enhanced many meetings and events.
In being part of watching her Family growing up we have many memories of these times.
We would say to Tom Mandy Andrew Rachel and Families, Keith Cynthia and Family we will be sharing and Praying for you as you Celebrate Janet's life.

  • Hi Dave & Margaret, thank you for sharing your kind words. Her trade mark uncontrollable laugh is one of my most precious memories of mum and I will always cherish the musical times I spent with her. Some of Mum's most happiest times were whilst she was at Maurice Town. I am sure she would have really loved the fact that Cliff and Jean Bradley conducted her Funeral Service. I hope you both keep safe and well. Andrew

We count it a privilege that through our dear friends Keith and Cynthia we came to know Janet and Tom and the family. We are saddened to hear of the passing of Janet …we have many happy memories of sharing New Year with the family at Underlane what fun we had lots of laughs and much competitiveness with the games Keith would arrange!… We treasure those memories. From our first meeting we could see Janet was not one to gather the limelight but we soon learned of her quick wit and intelligence, and her caring and gentle persona. Janet we know you will be sadly missed ..you hold a special place in our hearts .. Rest In Peace as you now abide in Heavenly love … Eleanor and John

  • Hi Eleanor and John, thank you for your kind words and my apologies for the time it has taken to respond to you. It is lovely to read the thoughts of those who knew her and to hear others shared similar experiences to ones we too shared many times. What is most comforting is that knowledge that Mum has left so many special memories with the people she knew and cared for. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Keep safe and well Andrew.

I was saddened by this news and send all my prayers and thoughts to you all. Sitting thinking about Janet I am reminded of many good times. Growing up Janet and Tom lived opposite us so we spent time with them especially when Keith and Cynthia got married and our families became joined. It has been sad listening to how poorly Janet had become in the last few years and how difficult that would have been. I shall be watching the service when you say your goodbyes and spend time remembering Janet.
God bless all the family especially
Tom
Mandy
Andrew
Rachel
Keith and Cynthia and all your family groups. God bless love Stephanie and Jonathan xx

  • Hi Stephanie, Thank you for your kind words and thoughts. It was indeed sad to see Mum so poorly over the last couple of years, however, it came with a degree of comfort that most of her hallucinations came from "happy" times and she could often be heard singing (at full voice I may add) hymns she would have sung over the years during her time with the Salvation Army. Many thanks Andy

Moving back to Plymouth in the 1980s Janet Tom and ourselves became very close. We have many happy memories of walks, picnics and family gatherings. For Cynthia, Janet was much more a sister than a sister-in-law. For Keith, there are so many treasured memories of music making together when they were younger. Janet will be sadly missed and we will always hold her dear in our hearts.
