Our dads were brothers but we didn’t grow up as close family… we reconnected 9 years ago through the power of social media. It was great to find a bunch of lovely “Belfast cousins”! We met a few times and chatted on Facebook/messenger and it’s easy to see why your passing has hit us all so hard… Gretta, a beautiful person, one in a million, a real star…all that and more. My heart is sore for Dennis, for her children and grandchildren and for her siblings. Family meant so very much to Gretta, she’d do anything for them. She missed her mum and dad so much and now she’s gone to be with them and all the recent pain is gone. But she will be so missed by us all. Love from this small branch of the McAlpine tree, Lynn,Ann, Ronnie, Bill, Derek & David.

To live in the hearts of those we love is never to die…💔🌹☘️

God saw you getting tired,
a cure was not to be,
so, he put his arms around you.
and whispered come to me.
And although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

Fly High Gretta🕊️ until we meet again ❤️

Sadly missed by your loving baby sis Ange & brother in-law Paffey

The Lord said, "my precious, precious child. I love you and would never, ever leave you during your times of trial and suffering. When you saw only one set of footprints in the sand, it was then that I carried you".

We thought you were coming home to us, but mum and dad had other plans and took you home with them

Sleep tight Grets xox
