You fought so hard to stay here, but it wasn't meant to be, you closed your eyes one last time and said goodbye to your family.paper roses we did sing, while going out to work, walking up the street, like two singing little birds, your with mum and dad now and at peace and free from pain and il always remember the days we were singing in the rain love you little sis.

Our dads were brothers but we didn’t grow up as close family… we reconnected 9 years ago through the power of social media. It was great to find a bunch of lovely “Belfast cousins”! We met a few times and chatted on Facebook/messenger and it’s easy to see why your passing has hit us all so hard… Gretta, a beautiful person, one in a million, a real star…all that and more. My heart is sore for Dennis, for her children and grandchildren and for her siblings. Family meant so very much to Gretta, she’d do anything for them. She missed her mum and dad so much and now she’s gone to be with them and all the recent pain is gone. But she will be so missed by us all. Love from this small branch of the McAlpine tree, Lynn,Ann, Ronnie, Bill, Derek & David.

To live in the hearts of those we love is never to die…💔🌹☘️

It is with a broken heart as I sit here. Gretta you were an inspiration to everyone who loved you and you will continue be to that inspiration to us all.

Sleep peacefully gretta you will be dearly missed by us all in the street. You always had a smile and a chat for everyone you where a remarkae woman with a heart of good you will never be forgotten a good friend and nabour one of the best thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time

I'm lost for words hearing what's happened n very saddened by yer passing Gretta, ya were always a great laugh n fierce as a hurricane, Heaven has its work cut out for it taking you so early.

Rest easy gretta no more suffering and free from pain, some great memories throughout the years. You will be sorley missed and canning street will not be the same without you. Thinking of the whole family circle at this time. Rest in peace 💔

So very very sorry of your loss, Thinking of Denis, Jordan, Jamie and Whitney, and all the family. Very happy times looking back of our days in Ashfield.
