Rev Dr Bruce Winter wrote

To the family of the late Lady Katherine Bruce Winter, former Vicar, St George's Church Singapore wishes to extend his condolences to the family, remembering her wonderful contribution to the life of St George's church, not only as a choir member but also along with her late husband was a great friend and a a most hospitable hostess to my wife and myself not only when we first arrived but often inviting us to Sunday lunch after church during our time there . She was a very generous person for which I will always be so thankful. Please convey to Michael who was but a young boy in those days and his late mother's grandchildren our very grateful thanks for his Mother's many kindnesses and her Christian witness. The words of Jesus in the face of death certainly apply in her case—'You must not let your heart be troubled. You believe in God, you must also believe in me. In my Father's house are many mansions…and I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am there you may be also. And if I go away to prepare a place I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be able also', John 14. Our prayers at this time that is rightly a sad time but not without hope knowing she is in her appointed place in heaven. The Reverend Bruce Winter
