Dr. Chandra SAYAL
Passed away peacefully at Royal Derby Hospital on Sunday 12th March 2023, aged 96 years.

Dr Chandra truly a wonderful kind and beautiful lady and friend from London moved to Derby with her compassion and love of supporting others in all things that matter from home life and the contribution in professional working life in the communities. A power house of strength and the commitment in active and strategic projects giving advice and support on education, health social care and equalities themes on Derby City Council Minorities Forums, Equalities and Derby Women’s Centre Board and Working Group Panels with passion and compassion helping all people of all ages in Derby City. We worked together as Community Representatives on the many Derby City Forums, Derby Women’s Centre Board and Equalities Advisory Boards. We loved your kindness guidance and advice on our my and my family visits to your home. We also met with Madhu Singh (Dr Chandra’s niece) when she visited from America & India on her trips to Derby. I and my family will miss you greatly. With sincere prayers and strength for all your families and friends at this time of great loss and sadness.
