Ronald Patrick Thomas Jones (12 May 1929 - 1 Mar 2023)

In loving memory of Ronald Patrick Thomas Jones who sadly passed away on 1st March 2023.

Overall there are no words that can adequately express how much Ron will be missed. As long as there are generations of family that knew him he will never be forgotten.

His family was one of the most important aspects of Ron’s life and his wish was for them to be happy, healthy and secure. He liked to help, where he could, and for many family members and friends he used his electrician's skills to re-wire their houses and make repairs - through such generous help he could show his care and, in a way, leave a lasting practical legacy.

Ron’s life-long love of the outdoors, of the countryside, wildlife, and his particular respect and care for animals, along with his hobbies of fishing, genealogy, electronics, vegetable growing, motorcycling and cine-filming were all things that I admired about my Dad.

He had a long and healthy life, with obvious illness and debilitation being with him only very recently. He was an intelligent and independent man who led his life the way he wished and wanted no external assistance or intervention, even up to the final weeks of his life.

As Ron now rests in peace, I think his wish would be for those who remain not to be saddened for long by his passing and, when inevitably looking back, for us to focus on the memories of him that bring humour and happiness.
