In loving memory of Philippe Desvaux.
He fought an arduous battle with Motor Neurone Disease over the last 3 years. He passed away peacefully at home on the 28th February 2023.

He was a wonderful husband, a loving father, an affectionate grand-père and a dedicated friend to all those who knew him.
He would want us to celebrate his life the way he lived it, with laughter and love.

We will have a weblink for his cremation for those who cannot attend in person.
And we ask that, instead of sending flowers, all those who wish to, donate to the MND fund in his name.

Don’t think of him as gone away
his journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.

Goodbye

No easy day
Just a tender way
One more sway
A last hooray

Fears won’t do it
Tears won’t fix it
Years won’t take it
Cheers, that’s it!

You spoke, we listened
You joked, we glistened
You sang, we revelled
You danced, we marvelled

Now we kiss you
Knowing we will always miss you
Looking to always remember you
Goodbyes were never easy for you

So for now, let’s just say ‘farewell’
