Irene was a lovely, welcoming and funny lady. I only new Irene for a short time through membership of The 'Foreset of Bere Bowmen' and it was her friendly character and support of Vince and the club which encouraged me to remain a member. Her dedication and attention to detail made our Archery Open Days and 'Fun days' very special. I willmiss her and my thoughts go out to all her friends and family.

Today we say goodbye to dear Irene. I met Irene at tge beginning of my midwifery training. She became my mentor and friend and her guidance love and support and incredible passion for caring for the women and families gave me the courage to be true to myself and to be the midwife I aspired to be. Her listening ear and sound advice helped me steer my course as a midwife. She never faltered in her resolve and kindness and we shared magical moments and laughed and cried together. My graduation day was a proud moment that I got to share with Irene and I remain thankful and blessed always that we met. I shared many adventures with her and Vince holidays cycling dinner parties experienced culinary delights they made together and had incredible fun Irene had a wicked sense of humour and her zest for life and living in the moment and her caring nature and love for tge world around her and her many friends made Irene something very special. I am blessed that the universe brought us together and we sherd joyful happy moments. Thank you Irene for j6st being you xxx

Irene was a loving, loyal, kind and generous friend of nearly forty years, taken well before her time. She left behind so many very happy memories of walks and cycle rides, and of dinner parties, day trips and holidays together. All of these were enriched by her wisdom and her wit, and above all by her willingness to tell it like it is: you always knew where you stood with Irene. We are all better for having known her and we shall miss her so very much. Clive and Judy
