Elsie was a life long and much valued friend of my parents Ray & John Emerson.
I was touched by the kindness Elsie showed me in recent years in sustaining that friendship. Happy memories live on.

In loving memory of Elsie Tilson who sadly passed away on 24th January 2023 at the age of 98.
Elsie was a very loving, kind, caring and good natured wife, mother, nana and grannan. She took immense pride and interest in her two children, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and had a wide circle of friends.
She was a wonderful kind gentle person, dearly loved by all of us.
She will be greatly missed, but she will never be forgotten.

Elsie was my aunt Although we lived many miles apart I was pleased that we stayed in touch over the years.In recent times she took an interest in my children and grandchildren, which was lovely and much appreciated.

Elsie was my aunt lovely lady. Tremendous energy and drive. Wonderful mum . Instilled great values and determination in her family. Fond memories of family holidays. Loved swimming coming from a family who in their younger days had no access to such facilities. Elsie was my late mum’s much loved older sister. Sadly they have all gone. The last of a truly impressive group. Must be the Sunderland heritage. Love to all.
