Dear Mark, what a special guy and in our eyes, the best DJ ever! You were and still are, loved by so many because you were just that kind of guy, that everyone loved. We will miss your cheeky, smiling face, but you leave us with nothing but happy memories, for which we will be forever grateful. You will always have a special place in our hearts Mark. In loving memory of Mark Stevens who sadly passed away on 27th January 2023.
Mark was born in Germany on 11 January 1962. At the time Mark's father Peter was serving with the British Army and that's how Mark, his dad and mum Judith, came to live in the Garrison Town of Aldershot.
In Aldershot Mark grew up near Manor Park where the 2nd Aldershot Scout Group has its HQ. Joining the Group as a Cub he built a strong circle of friends.
After education at Aldershot's Newport Junior and Farnborough Grammar School, Mark embarked on a career in financial management working for Nat West, NFU Mutual and Barclays. He moved from there to work as a sales advisor for DSL.
Along the way he met and married the love of his life Debbie and they had two lovely daughters, Pippa and Ella. Mark loved his life on the farm in Langrish with his beloved family and animals including 'Willow' the labrador, 'Bear' the cat and 'Molly' the goat. Alongside his family life Mark never lost his love of running discos for young and old.
Mark's cheery smile and sunny outlook on life will be much missed by family, friends and colleagues. We are all grateful to the staff at The Grange Surgery, Petersfield; QA Hospital, Portsmouth; the Macmillan Nurses from Midhurst; and The Rosemary Foundation, Petersfield for their care of and support for Mark.
