In loving memory of Patricia Ann Haselton 'Tricia' who sadly passed away on 25th January 2023.
Tricia moved to Wiltshire in 1980 having previously lived all her life to this point in Norfolk. She first lived in Bath with her husband Peter and then they settled in Box for several years. During this time they became part of the community in Box and in particular enjoyed many happy summers playing bowls at Box BC.
Due to circumstances relating to Peter's illness and subsequent death in 1995, Tricia moved around a bit and lived back in Bath, then back to Box and finally settled in Calne where she lived for many happy years. During this time in Wiltshire she was a doctors receptionist at Hathaway Surgery, New Road, Chippenham. As a Grandma she also was a great help in looking after and supporting her 4 grandchildren during their early school years.
She returned to Norwich in September 2011, her spiritual birthplace where she loved being closer to her Norfolk family and her childhood and formative years memories. Then again in late 2020 she moved back to Chippenham to be closer to her family in Wiltshire, albeit a sad move for her in leaving her brother Gary and son Tim behind in Norwich.
Tricia loved to remain active and was always working in her garden and tending her extensive collection of planted pots. She always had a dog as a companion over the years which meant walking come rain or shine each day was part of her life. She also loved to watch sport, particularly cricket. She continued to watch bowls by attending games her son Jeremy played at Chippenham Town BC.
One of her most enduring characteristics was her memory, she had a tremendous ability to recall events from her past going back over 80 years or so to the times of the 2nd World War. It will be a great loss to her family to not be able to talk to her about the things, places and events that filled her very busy life.
We loved her so very much, Rest in Peace Mum, Sister and Grandma. xxxxxx
